Oxycodone/Oxycontin-Possession

If you have been arrested in the Orlando area for possession of Oxycodone (Oxycotin), or “Oxys” as they are commonly called, you will need a team of professionals to represent you! At the law offices of Finebloom & Haenel we can provide an experienced and compassionate defense for this accusation.

Possession of Oxys is a third degree felony punishable by up to five years in the Florida Department of Corrections an a $5000 fine. If you are not sent to jail, you will be placed on “drug offender probation.” This requires substance abuse treatment, random urinalysis, checking in with a probation officer once a month and random searches of your home. It is possible to receive both jail time and probation for this charge.

The State of Florida sees Oxycodone as a big threat to the health and safety of its residents. Any possession of any amount of this drug without a prescription is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Many times the people who are arrested for this crime are first time offenders who have had their prescription cut off by their physician. If they can’t obtain the drug legally, they will obtain it in any way possible rather than experience the painful withdrawal.

The law offices of Finebloom & Haenel are here to help you! Our experienced attorneys are knowledgeable and understanding. We have the legal experience to prepare the best defense for you. Our professional staff will make sure you understand all of your legal options and help you make the best decisions for you. Don’t wait for the judge to pronounce sentence!
