Solicitation for prostitution

If you have been arrested in the Orlando area for prostitution or soliciting a prostitute in violation of Florida Statute 796.07 you need a competent lawyer who is not judgmental. To speak with an attorney about your charge, call Finebloom & Haenel 407-218-6277 anytime. We are available 24/7 to discuss your case with you.

“Prostitution” is defined as the giving or receiving of the body for sexual activity for hire. You can be arrested for offering to sell your body for sexual activity or ffor trying to buy sexual favors.

  • A first time conviction is a second degree misdemeanor punishable by up to 60 days in the county jail.
  • A second conviction is a first degree misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in the county jail.
  • A third conviction (or more) is a third degree felony punishable by up to five years in the Department of Corrections.

If you are convicted of trying to buy prostitution services, there is a $500 mandatory fine in addition to any other penalties and court costs.

If you are convicted, it is possible that you can be court ordered to stay away from certain geographic areas. If you live or work in the area, you may have to register and get permission from the court to go to work, school or home. The Court may also order you to undergo medical testing.
